Support for persons with disabilities
The Office building is largely adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities.
The building has one main entrance from 78/82 Tadeusza Kościuszki Street, in front of which there is a platform with a ramp on the right‑hand side for wheelchairs. At the entrance door, there is a bell for wheelchair users to call for assistance with the stairlift. Movement inside the building via stairs is possible using the stairlift. The building has no thresholds that would impede movement in wheelchairs, and is equipped with sufficiently wide doors on each floor of the Office to allow persons with disabilities to move freely.
Behind the main entrance, stairs lead to the hall/main corridor on the ground floor. In front of the stairs, on the left‑hand side, there is a stairlift enabling the transport of persons with disabilities to the ground floor and to the stairs leading to the parts accessible to clients on the upper floors.
On the ground floor, to the right of the entrance, there is the customer service point (Registry Office). Behind the Registry Office is the REGON service room, and opposite there is a toilet for persons with disabilities.
On the ground floor, to the left of the entrance, there is the Statistical Information Centre with a library for clients.
A parking space for persons with disabilities is designated in the internal car park at the rear of the Office.
The building does not feature markings in Braille, nor high‑contrast or large‑print signage for blind or partially sighted persons.
During a visit to the Office, it is possible to use the assistance of a sign language interpreter. The intention to use an interpreter should be reported no later than 3 working days before the intended visit. The contact person for this matter at the Statistical Office in Olsztyn is:
